Introduction to Volunteering- a free course

Introduction to Volunteering is a free course, for adults 19 + who are unemployed and/or with few or no qualifications and wish to develop skills and confidence through volunteering.

The course is designed to help people feel more confident about becoming a volunteer. Participants will

• Find out about the benefits of volunteering
• Explore what they can offer - their skills and qualities
• Find out about local volunteer opportunities.

At the end of the course participants will make an appointment to meet a volunteer adviser who will assist them in finding voluntary work.

The course runs for 6 Wednesday afternoon sessions

1.00- 3.15pm beginning Weds 6 Nov - 11 December
