Introduction to Volunteering Course - a free course

There are places still available on Introduction to Volunteering course, which is aimed at adults 19 + who are unemployed and/or with few or no qualifications and wish to develop skills and confidence through volunteering.
The course is designed to help people feel more confident about becoming a volunteer. Participants will

• Find out about the benefits of volunteering
• Explore what they can offer - their skills and qualities
• Find out about local volunteer opportunities.

At the end of the course participants will make an appointment to meet a volunteer adviser who will assist them in finding voluntary work.

The course runs for 5 Wednesday afternoons 12.30-3 pm on Weds 19 June, and from 1-3pm from 26 June - 17 July, at the Carlton Centre, Weston-super-Mare.
