Dear Local Commissioning Networks,

As you are aware, good communication with schools is essential to ensure that the needs of your local children and young people (CYP) are identified.  By working with schools you will be able to:

• Understand the needs of the CYP living in your area
• Be able to contact CYP to gain their help in ensuring the positive activities being planned are what CYP in your area really want
• Ensure CYP voices are heard by your LCN members
• Advertise opportunities for CYP to attend meetings and activities

To support you with this we have contacted North Somerset schools to share with them what the LCNs are doing and to let them know how they can work with the LCNs to meet the needs of their pupils.  We have now identified a contact person from each of the schools who you can communicate directly with.  If you would like this information then please email me (Rhiannon)specifying which schools you are interested in.

We would be happy to contact any schools on your behalf, outside North Somerset if you would like us to do so.
