Do you have a young person intrerested in Sports Leadership?

I am pleased to let you know that there are two Prospect Sport taster days confirmed for February 2013. This could really benefit some young people you are working with to get into the sport coaching industry.

This is a practical day and is divided into eight small and simple sections

• introduction to sports leadership
• communication for sport
• taking control of a group
• organisational tools
• safety in sport
• adaptation of simple activities
• putting it all into practice
• where to and what next.

After attending this participants have the opportunity to register for the full Prospect Sport programme which includes the level 2 community sports leader award, first aid, child protection basic awareness and a level 1 national governing body award (learner dependent).

What next?

Attendance is free and participants must be aged 16 +. They can reserve a space by contacting Lisa Perryman for a booking form. The deadline for this is Thursday 31 January (for the course on Saturday 2 February) and Monday 25 February (for the course on Wednesday 27 February).
