IMPORTANT update: Portishead LCN tender

Dear Provider,

The following information is being sent out to all potential providers of positive activities with regard to the invitation to express interest in projects being commissioned by Portishead LCN. 

The deadline for submission of expressions of interest has been extended to Tuesday March 19th 5pm.

The global amounts available for each project are:
  • Taster Activities £6900
  • Holiday Stay and Play £3900* see note below
  • Street Reach £3150
  • Project Co-ordinator £4500**see note below
The time scales for each project are different, but the earliest we expect any to begin will be in August this year, and completed by July next year (although we hope some may be extended).

*Please note the Holiday Stay and Play project now includes a second part to the specification involving providing summer daytime activities for 12-16 year olds during August 2013.

**Please also note a revision of the outcomes for the Project Co-ordinator as set out below.

Portishead LCN is seeking an organisation or an individual: to monitor the monitoring and evaluation of the projects by providers
  • Project 1: Taster Activities and a 14+ Friday evening activities
  • Project 2: Stay and Play Activities in school summer holidays
  • Project 3: Street Reach and Sports and Outdoors
  • to report to the LCN on matters of quality assurance ie. that projects are being well marketed, delivered as specified, to the agreed timetable and appropriate standards, meeting or exceeding the stated targets and giving value for money
  • to act as a point of contact for all enquiries: for the providers, the community, and organisations representing the community
  • to look for additional sources of funding and write funding applications on behalf of the LCN to promote its sustainability and the on-going delivery of a wide range of Positive Activities 0-19 in different parts of Portishead
