Update on Bursary Fund changes from September 2013

EFA 16-19 Bursary Fund changes from September 2013
The EFA are are making changes to the administration of the 16 to 19 bursary fund for the 2013 to 2014 academic year. They will no longer allocate the vulnerable student element of the 16 to 19 bursary fund to schools. Instead you will need to report vulnerable students to the Learner Support Service (LSS). The EFA will then release funds. Maintained special schools will need to complete the form in part and send to CCF Team, to forward on to the LSS.
There will be no changes to the discretionary element of the bursary fund. Schools will continue to receive an allocation and should administer these funds in the usual way.

Schools will be able to request funds by completing and submitting the 16 to 19 Bursary Fund Vulnerable Students Funding Claim Form for the 2013 to 2014 academic year. This form will be available to download from the EFA website at the end of June 2013.
